Oh, I have such wonderful memories of driving down to Plaquemines Parish on weekends and buying bags of satsumas. One bag to have at home, one bag to eat on the drive back. Big Grin

Heh it's good. I got it!

When I was young, I specifically seemed to get sick from certain Muesli mixes, could be the nuts or fruit were a little old. I also was a little grossed out by an Arab dessert called Jalibi.

I had never heard of Jalibi before now.

the worst part is that i wasnt allowed to pull my pants up or leave the table until they were all finished. our dining room chairs are really hard so it was real sore. i was not rude bout what i had for dinner again. if i am given something i don't like I say so politely

You are older and wiser now than you were then. Politely saying that you don't like something is the best way to respond.

I have spanked my kids when they are younger for refusing to eat their veggies or what is served them for dinner. When they are older, say maybe 10 or so. If they don't like what is served for dinner, they have two options.

1.) eating it anyway

2. Going straight to bed without supper.

I think I can only remember 3 instances where option 2 was picked.
