It's the Bamboo Stick! - Mr_Simons - 06-12-2021 I don't know if this has ever been posted before on here but I found this some years ago and thought it might be interesting to post. It's meant to be humourous, I think. Most of the young people here seem to have a much more positive and accepting attitude towards corporal punishment even though they no doubt don't like it. RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - Tommy - 06-12-2021 I remember seeing that video on YouTube several years ago. Thanks for reposting it. RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - Dallas_Dad - 08-11-2021 LOL! What a character RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - Garth - 08-12-2021 Excellent video. Thanks! RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - Tim - 08-12-2021 Cute and funny kid!!! Thanks for sharing. RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - jimmythebean - 08-28-2021 Wonder what he does to get in trouble Also, is a bamboo stick used for anything but correcting children? looks like a different kind of paddle to me RE: It's the Bamboo Stick! - Mr_Simons - 08-28-2021 (08-28-2021, 06:32 PM)jimmythebean Wrote: Wonder what he does to get in trouble Bamboo sticks are usually a garden item often used to support plants. My parents have often used them to grow runner beans up them as in the picture. This webpage however however lists some creative uses of bamboo: https://matadornetwork.com/change/15-creative-uses-of-bamboo/ I believe that canes traditionally used in schools to punish children were usually rattan or birchwood rather than bamboo. |
