It takes place in Mesquite Texas in 1977. A 15 -year-old girl is due to get swats at school for being late three times, if I recall correctly. Her parents are against their daughter, Tamara being paddled by a male, so they pulled her out of school. Making a longer story shorter, an agreement was reached allowing Tamara's mother to come to school and discipline Tamara in the principal's office. Her mother came to school with a belt used for Tamara's home discipline. Behind closed doors Tamara got 3 with the belt which is what the school would have done with the paddle. A witness to the spanking was quoted saying "Tammy would have been much better off taking the 3 swats from us, her mother really sizzled her behind with that strap".
