Spanking at a hotel?
We have a family vacation upcoming. I'm very much hoping it is a pleasant time with no trouble. However I want to be prepared if there is. Does anyone have any experience with how to best give out a spanking in a hotel, in such a way we don't disturb the neighbors?

13 and 20. The only one at risk of being spanked is the 13 year old. My policy is not to wait if it's necessary. Very hopeful it's not necessary!

Most of time our extended travel we get a single unit like a cottage. I think Sven points out that night or early morning might disturb others. A 13 yo should be able to wait that out. I've heard kids getting it next door, when I was traveling on business on my own. I didn't pay attention to it anymore than I would a crying baby, heated discussions or loud laughter. I think during the day the rooms are mostly empty.

I have taken one of the boys out in the car and headed to a quiet spot (in fact a short walk down a path and into a wood where I was sure we would not be disturbed and delivered an appropriate al fresco spanking. However, if that had not been an option it would of had to wait until the opportunity arose, but I am conscious that when travelling you do not want the 'spanking cloud' to hang over the trip for too long!

RE: Spanking at a hotel?
I think it's always best to get any necessary punishment over as quickly as possible, including on holiday. I always took the necessary with us (and my son knew it was there), but very rarely needed to use it (maybe 3 times ever?).

I'm afraid I didn't worry too much about any other guests, just gave the spanking as I would have at home. I was not aware of any reaction. One possible way to minimise being overheard is to do it when most people are either out or having a meal. I've heard of people waiting until the mealtime was in full swing before swinging the arm themselves.

Another is to turn on the TV or music, fairly loudly, to mask any other sounds. Hotel rooms these days are usually pretty well insulated, over here at least. So any sound might not carry anyway.

Sven, playing with fire, 😲 I don't think it's a terrible thing to pack an implement. But, I guess it depends, on the size of your family and how long you're going to be away. A lot of kids has higher odds of needing it, before you return home. Big Grin

Jono and I were spanked while on holiday in Australia once. We were staying in a self contained apartment. The hairbrush wasn't present so a spatula from kitchen drawer was used. The curtains were closed. Sara sat in the living area listening to music while Jono and I were spanked in the bedroom.

I will be packing my paddle Smile

I think its very presence will be enough to deter.

If not a really fascinating scenario, which apparently the fire adventure was for Sven, I think your paddle along could be a reminder to avoid more mundane misbehavior. I'm certain it would be as effective as a deterrent in the suitcase as it is at home. (for ours anyway.) Dodgy
