Yahoo Group

Interestingly, Yahoo Japan is quite good, ...but it has almost no connection to the American side.

Yahoo Groups are coming to an end. That explains why I'm not able to join any of the groups.

First they do away with Yahoo Messenger, and now they are doing away with Yahoo Groups. I think it's time for Yahoo to close down altogether.

Is it just me, or is the internet becoming a shell of it's former self?

I agree. Major social media sites like Facebook are encompassing more and more online discussion. I miss the old days when there were lively forums on a variety of topics, even in the most unexpected websites. You could go to a gaming website and find forums there dedicated to science, politics, hobbies, relationships, anything.

You can sort of do that now with Facebook, but it's much more socially restrictive. Nobody has the room to be wrong and learn from being wrong anymore. It's a bunch of hate mobs.

I have no use for Facebook.
