Swimwear perspectives vs spanking

I do not have an issue with my daughter wearing a bikini, however bikini styles can vary so much that it must be fashionable as he put it. I guess we have all seen some bikinis even on younger girls, where their bottom is partially exposed and such. My daughter would not be wearing one of those and it doesn’t sound like Sam’s daughter would either.

One-piece suits also expose--they emphasise the line.

The original question was regarding church goers though. I fully respect that you do not want your young daughters dressed like that but is it because you are religious or because you do not want them to be seen by others in such a sexualised way.

There are so many denominations of each religion nowadays, each of whom disagree with the next over little things and interpret their holy literature slightly differently.
To answer your question, I guess the church goers of which you speak are of the persuasion where they focus on passages on the bible / quran etc that focus on discipline and women's beauty being a sin.
For example if you focused on the below you would have n problem with the mindset of the original post

Proverbs 13:24 - Those who spare the rod hate their children, but those who love them are diligent to discipline them.
Matthew 5:28 - But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Proverbs 6:25 - Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes;

My Parents are fine with a bikini that provides respectable coverage when were on holiday but a one piece is required for school swimming. I think Miss Sara that Matthew 5:28 says it all I feel very uncomfortable sometimes just in the street if I’m wearing leggings or something. men and boys should not be staring at girls.

How about the opposite do girls stare at boys who dobt cover themselves?

Not as much, I think. Not that the fantasies women have cannot be just as bad as men's, but they are different. There are no illustrations in women's pornography; it is all words.

Well it is no secret that I am not religious so the above passages are meaningless to me. I think that it is naive though to think that looking is bad by default and I would disagree with anyone who thinks that passage is justification to make women dress prudely. The simple fact is this, as much as people like to think that they do otherwise, physical attraction is what initially attracts people to each other, personality follows.

We have no problem with our girls wearing bikinis in our backyard pool or even when they are on a Vacation with us, but if they go to the public pool or to swim practice they are expected to wear a 1 piece, As you can see the pic I posted a while ago, under girls, is my stepdaughter at 13

We never had to enforce 'swimwear standards' but we did guide Sam towards bikini's that were fashionable but not requiring a brazilian wax (I am kidding about the latter by the way). She was happy with that, the boys settled for trunks in the form of boxer briefs rather than boardies which I think just slow you down.

Alex

Can you elaborate what is fashionable?

I leave that mainly to her mother but they have bottoms which are more like boxer briefs and the top covers more than a couple of tiny triangles. Sam is quite hot on issues such as female sexualisation and titilisation so she protects herself so to speak.
