That's so wise of you, Mr. Andrews!  I'm not sure if that would work with my daughter, though.  I suspect she'd want her same two or three favorites rotating day after day.

Haha, well it's not like she decides all the dishes, but we talk about it and she has her input Smile
I always make sure to have at least one of her favorites every week

My daughter has her input when we're grocery shopping.  I don't adopt all of her suggestions, perhaps not the majority.  But I do some.

I reccomend to let her be part of the cooking as well. It's important for them to take responsability.

my house is a little different. my wife and I will sometimes share cooking duties. but more often it is her than I, since I work late most nights. But I do like to cook when I am home. if we make something and you don't like it. you have two options, eat it, or get a spanking and sent to bed hungry. my kids usually eat it.

Dinner, unfortunately, often seems to be dependent on my mood and energy level after a work day. I am ashamed to admit how much I order fast food or go with an easy and non-nutritious meal (think fish sticks). I am blessed that neither one of my kids are really picky eaters, although getting my youngest to eat veggies can be a challenge. On weekends or when I have time, I enjoy involving my kids in meal prep- it is a good opportunity for discussions, teaching cooking skills and creating laughter and fond memories.
