Lol ur like my brothers pt2 o my sil cooks if I don’t like something I just grab something else I can usually order out whenever too. Dinner isn’t really formal here....most the time my bros r doing their crazy eating habits 🙄...I do like weekends esp in summer they will BBQ and become human and eat normally.

Meggy is it hard for you to not have dinner be normal like with your health stuff? We hardly never order out because of my mom.

I kinda do bare min I don’t let it rule me I ignore it as much as possible I don’t talk about it my body gives me signs if I start pushing it too far soooooo far I’ve been able to control it without paying attn really. I'm sorry and you can just tell me if I get to personal cause I don't want for you to feel like you got to answer something that upsets you. Honest. I am sorry. I was only asking cause you know my mom is type 1 to and so meals are kind of strict here and it does stink sometimes. I'm sorry.

As a child, I was told to eat what was on my plate now, or eat it after a spanking. I still don't like liver and a tender sore bottom along the way did not improve my
opinion of liver.
As a mother I provided nutritious mostly healthy meals. My rule was that my son didn't need to eat anything, but he couldn't have nothing else.
My son developed flavor enhancers. Ketchup, and ranch dressing will cover up most things he didn't care for. He never missed a meal.

My daughter is a picky eater.  I don't think she's ever had ranch dressing before.  I wonder if it will enable her to finish her peas without a battle?

It is worth a try. My son always like peas, so that was never an issue. His topping of choice for Swiss Chard and other garden greens was ranch dressing.
After trying unfamiliar greens with ranch dressing he eventually developed a taste for them without flavor enhancers.

We usually decide the menu together, we sit down and set the menu for a couple of weeks. My daughter is very involved in cooking, and for her age she's very good at it too.

That's so wise of you, Mr. Andrews!  I'm not sure if that would work with my daughter, though.  I suspect she'd want her same two or three favorites rotating day after day.
