News in Our Lives - Kaitie - 07-09-2020
So the news we've been a bit quiet about for a couple of weeks is that I got married! It's someone I've known for a while, but it all happened a bit quicker than expected (partially because he got a promotion and was going to have to move away). It was a small ceremony because of COVID. In addition to being Maddie's mom, I'm now also step mom to a 13 year old girl named Olivia. My new husband is (1) abut 8 years older than me and (2) a widower. We will be moving to Texas in August.

They do, SUPER well. Though I'm not sure either are overjoyed at having to share a room. She also gets along really well with my new husband, though they've butted heads a bit just because she's known him for a while more as an adult friend, so suddenly having him as step dad or dad.... But mostly everyone is getting along great!

I didn't love Texas when I lived there briefly in high school, but it's the best spot for a job for my new spouse, so it's where we will be headed!
