Understanding Directions Is Important

This story takes place shortly after I graduated high school. I was preparing some kind of pasta and the directions said to slowly stir the noodles into boiling water. Instead of doing what a normal person would do, I pour a small amount of noodles into the water; wait a minute or two, then put some more in, keep repeating until all the noodles were in. The meal turned out fine, but it is something my dad and I laugh about sometimes.
