The photos don't need to be approoved. Not sure if that was meant or not

Indeed, thanks Dakoda. But I was pretty sure that I had the settings right. I just went and checked again - the setting for "Auto Approve Pictures" is un-checked for registered members. Color me confused. Perhaps a glitch in the upgrade? If so, it's beyond anything I can control.

The good news is that unactivated members and unregistered guests still do not have access to the gallery at all. I checked on that.

OK I figured out the problem. GO ME! The gallery upgrade had the permissions for photos and comments backwards. I did have auto approve for comments checked, but not for photos. But instead, pics were being auto approved, while I had to approve new comments.

So I simply switched the check marks - setting photos to auto approve (so now they need approval ), and set comments to need approval (which they don't ).

The question is, when will the developers realize their mistake and correct it? Then we will be backwards again!
