is trillian only adults allowed?

my old sister told me i am not allowed to make a trillian account it is only for adults. she has one i know she uses it but, she is 21, but on here i have read stuff i think some of the people that have one, are not adults, so is it true, if i am 14 i am really not allowed? or what.
