Spanking to be Illegal in Scotland

We are against Parenting Laws in general because they are a prime example of government overreach. With that being said the gentleman in the video really does a terrible job defending his point.

We also believe that this law isn’t going to stop spanking. It’s just going to drive it underground. Just like it has done in anti spanking areas of America.

That has been the effect in Canada. I don't think parents are spanking any less because of the law. All it's done is, as you said, drive it underground. Now you dare not even ask another parent for advice.

I believe the only reason for CPS to ever remove a child from their home is if the child is in danger by staying there. And by danger, I mean more than a sore bottom. I mean real life and death danger.
