I got it hun, and you're right. There are a lot of perceptions around this topic.

You know what I think is sometimes the world can forget that just because bad stuff happened to somebody that that person isn't only the bad stuff that happened you know what I mean? Like say a kid got touched in the wrong way and even had to touch back in a bad way that don't mean that kid is always going to be nasty dirty right? Like I think sometimes when people find out that kind of stuff they like pull away or just go away since they don't understand that that person who is older could just be a good person who wouldn't never do to somebody what got done to her right? I don't know but people think in messed up ways sometimes.

If people want to do away with the shame they need to do away with the secrecy. Yes?

Yes only sometimes secrets are just to keep somebody safe from being seen in a bad way.

Secrets should never be kept about something like that.

In my work with children and young people, I have found that a bit of kindness earns me far more respect than giving sanctions.

Its pretty easy to beat down a kid you know? It takes a lot more work to make us feel good about things. I think so at least.
