Salvation

On Sunday our sermon was on salvation. The Minister made it clear salvation was very much a "present moment" thing. I think spanking is the same. To "enjoy" the present moment as well as bring about "eternal life" or salvation I think is achieving a level of consciousness during the ordeal were you as a parent take on the suffering of your child who is experiencing being spanked. Spankings are painful not just for your child but you as well. One way I took on the pain of the child was experiencing was to spank with my hand so I could not only feel their pain emotionally but physically as well through my hand. When you do this you will know you are indeed in the present moment with your child, suffering on their behalf, connecting with God and realizing both their and your own salvation!

It is natural for a parent to feel sympathy for the child you are spanking. But a parent must not allow that to weaken their resolve to give the child a proper spanking. While I spank I focus on how much the child is benefiting from being spanked. I also find that my feelings when I spank are not negative;I think that helping your child on the road to salvation by giving them a good spanking is uplifting.I also find that after the sting has subsided and the time for forgiving hugs has arrived I find it a bonding time for both of us
