If we are unable to forgive our own children or our parents than how can we even begin to forgive those that are responsible for the atrocities that are currently occurring in the world! To move beyond a mind concept of forgiveness is the truth that will set us free. How do we teach our children this? The same way we teach them to be non judgemental and caring. By being what we want our children to be they become who we really are. We go beyond form to the formless which is the grace of God. If we only forgive in our minds or not at all they will become as non forgiving as the state of the world is in now. If in your own life you can't forgive, than you are teaching your children the opposite of what Christ taught. "Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do" not only liberates you, it transforms you from carrying the cross to becoming the cross. Than joy and peace is yours now and forever in spite of the madness and insanity of today's world! What else could we ever want for our children.
