I believe the situation is normal again. Contact the forum if you have any trouble, but I believe registration issues were resolved.

Why was a post from three years ago bumped up? The situation resolved three years ago!

Good point, but many new members were reading this post and then sending emails to ask me to help them register; I wanted to make it clear to prospective members that my personal assistance in registration is no longer needed, although perhaps that was not necessary.

All moderators can and do approve new members once their introduction is posted. We check everyday and activate the account as long as there is no reason not to. Once in a while we find a potential problem with a prospective new member. In that case the new prospect has to wait until the moderators can consult and investigate the problem.

I don't think anyone has had to wait more than a couple of days at the most.
