A chatroom section
#1
I love this forum its all well put together i am connecting with young and older which is great, the one thing i think would be great to add, would be a chatroom section where we can all instantly chat maybe a chatroom section for parents and adults and others for our younger members, maybe each chatroom has a different topic, and maybe a big chatroom for us all

chatrooms have been brought up before, however due to like was mentioned we do have minors on the board, we have felt that it would require more work and monitoring than the staff has time for. We do thank you for the suggestion though, and are glad you are fairly active in our family.

Yes, I agree. It has been an issue on other boards.

A chatroom would be nice, if it weren't for the fact that it might attract the wrong kind of people.

I recall one board where the owners rightly decided to shut down chat (and not long after the board as well) following some very inappropriate conversations between adults and minors plus some some very weird and unpleasant stuff between adult members. I think it is safest not to have chat, there are other venues for adult to adult conversations I am sure, they don't need to be hosted here, you can pm people and set up off line chats if you wish, that way they are not connected to this board.

The reason I never pm anyone is because I doubt if anyone here wants to hear from me. That's probably the main reason I left this forum once before. I try to contribute to this forum the best I can. But I don't have any children, so I don't really have a lot to offer.

Tommy, I personally welcome hearing from you anytime. Although you may not have kids, you are a valuable member who has opinions that count. I know we all want you to feel comfortable here. If I remember correctly, in part you left previously because of the way a couple of people were running the forum. I hope you find it much different now. I think we have a good group of people that truly care!

Please stick around and we hope you are comfortable here!

One thing I am happy about is the way the forum is currently being run. I credit the people who are currently running it. I have no plans to leave this forum, but I do sometimes feel out of place here.

I appreciate your kind words. They make me feel better about being here.

I also want to say that I have nothing against the former moderator/administrator who is no longer here. I think his intentions were good and he meant well, but he was too strict. He got rid of the gallery and deleted several people. Some of them probably needed to be deleted, but some of them didn't. For a while, this forum wasn't a very fun place. But it has gotten a lot better here in the last several months. And I give Michael much of credit for the improvement. I also credit Garth, Kyle, Fulcrum, Anymouse, and any other moderator or administrator. And I also credit the members of this forum.
