In a sense every child is processed when they have a temper tantrum or do things that hurt themselves or others. Good parenting can help your child deal with these situations and make better choices. And this begins with being a good role model for your child though it is inevitable that we too will all behave unconsciously at times. Happy New Year!

The first question that I would ask would be to determine if there is an underlying medical issue that is driving the child's tantrums and cussing. If there is, then treatment would be more suitable than spanking . On the other hand, if the tantrums and cussing were brought on by the child (that has control of their moods, etc), then I don't disagree that spanking may help to change the behavior. Indoors and less likely to appear on National TV.

Frankly I have more problems with the parents than with the kid, the boy has his problems but what about the parents going on TV like this? Is it for money I wonder? I sometimes lose faith in humanity when I see things like this.

Very difficult to determine much from this small clip.
It looks to more that the dad dropped the boy than threw him to the floor - but I am looking on my phone and on a bigger screen it might look different.
I do wonder why it was filmed in the first place - conveniently ; too conveniently for the TV show ?!
Looks like a bored boy with lots of energy and no friends.

I will look at the clip again - perhaps I have missed something.
