Good Idea
#1
I think it is a good idea for the junior members to be allowed to post only in the boys clubhouse and the girls clubhouse, where the adults do not have access. I had already decided last night that I will no longer comment on any more posts from junior members. I am an adult man with no children, so it is best that I no longer communicate with any junior members whether it is in public or in private. I told Garth about this, and he agreed that it was a good idea.

While I can understand and respect your personal decision, I don't think it makes sense to banish our junior members--many of whom have been great contributors--to a private area. I do like Maddie's suggestion about closing the doghouse off to adults who aren't parents (though I'm not thrilled with the tone in her suggestion)

Closing the dog house and the tree house off to adults who aren't parents is a very good idea.

At this time we will not be making any changes. If the structure of the Forum is changed in any way only Michael or his proxy can do this. Moderators do not have the power to do this on their own. Consequently I would advise all junior members to post at your own discretion as all adult members will be treated equally at this time.

I agree that it might be a really good idea though. Respectfully.

I've been asked to (and I agree with) apologize for the tone I took in the other thread with Mr Garth. The tone was not an appropriate way to speak to an adult, and I am sorry.

No problem. Everyones suggestion are welcome. Keep in mind it may be awhile before Administration considers any changes. One I had was we have a room for parents, care gives such as myself, and teens. In fact I would suggest anyone that is directly involved with children either voluntarily, in a care taking role or as a job or profession could participate. Also perhaps a co-ed room for the teens.

Thanks for being nice about it. I wish Kaitie was as forgiving of the tone I took as you were Smile

I believe that if there is something that's intimidating our members that's a problem. I agree that restricting the Dog House and Tree House threads to parents and junior members only is a good idea. I also like the idea of the private girls', boys' and co-ed groups.
