Old Magazine Publication: Parental Discipline
#11
I don't want to speak out of school here but many of these old magazines with so-called true accounts were really fiction. One name that comes to mind is Will Henry who was known for writing spanking stories in the form of letters to the editor of so-called true accounts. I'm not saying that all the accounts mentioned on this thread are false, but my guess is that a good number of them are pure fiction. The fictional letters are well written and certainly come across as real which was the point. I think I recognize a couple of the above titles and magazines such as those were popular in adult book - stores back in the day.

Yes, the ones in adult stores I am not familiar with. The one from Bottom Line Discipline looked real, and were sold online. But they are now out of print.

I wasn't referring to anyone on this forum Henry, besides the author I mentioned last name was Henry. No, not you. BTW the publication Bottom Line, definitely all fiction.

Ahh, you think so? I messaged the publisher once, and he seemed to suggest it was real, although the writers were heavily anonymized he said. They used to provide links to real life summer camps when they were operational too.

Yes, I definitely believe these old magazine publications are fictious made up stories. Regarding the links to summer camps? That would have been interesting. Questionable, but interesting.
