Saint Francis Prayer

If I was going to say a prayer when I spanked it would be this one from Saint Francis of Assisi with some slight changes.

Lord, let me be an instrument of thy peace;

Where there is misbehavior, let me sow love;

Where there is disrespect, forgiveness;

Where there is doubt, the strength to punish;

Where their is despair, the courage to ask for Divine Presence;

Where there is sadness, joy and atonement;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console my child,

To be understood as for my child to understand the error of their ways,

To be loved as to love my child unconditionally;

For it is in giving this spanking that we receive Your grace;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

It is through this spanking my child shall be renewed and find eternal life and happiness.
