I've never understood parents who do that to their children. You had them, its your job to raise them and love them and discipline when necessary.

My dad used to work with PINS and there is a lot of kids not getting parented and are running the house and then they end up needing supervision outside of the home. My dad says a lot of times it should be the parents getting supervision and not the kids.

I find too many parents simply want to keep the peace. What they seem to miss is if a parent takes the time to praise and punish, there is far more family harmony than there is in the family that is simply keeping the peace.
I've taught grades 1-5 and I can always tell which pupils are going to have issues in school by the behavior of their parents. We do make or break our children.
