Veteran's Day 2020
#11
I always say thank you to service personel whenever I see them. I certainly keep them in my mind and in my prayers always and especially on Remembrance Day.

Thank you all for your service.

I wasn't talking about you or this forum. Three guess as to where I was talking about and your first two guesses don't count. It just rubbed me the wrong way. My "aunt" lost her husband in Afghanistan so I know there's a real big reason to remember those who died and that's what this country does on Memorial day. I'll get over myself.

We need to be more aware of the men and women who put self at risk for others. This includes police officers, firemen, paramedics and the like and in this pandemic people who stock groceries and pick up garbage.
It makes me think about the throwing a pebble in a lake and all the ripples.
We really are interconnected. We can't get through this life without one another and yet we rarely take the time to appreciate one another.

Thank you to everyone who keeps my world going. Heart

Yes, it's important to remember this day.

There are three different days now, at least in the US. Obviously in some places there is no Armed Forces day, and there are fewer and fewer Veterans. For the US we still have more Veterans every year, and of course a memorial day. My father served, and got very close to combat, he has passed away but thankfully stayed safe in his years of service.
